Rony Medaglia是丹麦哥本哈根商学院数字化系教授，信息系统协会(AIS)电子政务特别兴趣小组主席。他的研究主要集中在公共部门的数字化，从数字服务提供，公民参与和可持续性的角度。他曾在《Government Information Quarterly》,《The Journal of Information Technology》, 《The Information Systems Journal》,《The International Journal of Information Management》等国际期刊上发表多篇文章，并与合作者编写了《公共管理与人工智能研究手册》(即将由Edward Elgar出版)。他在全球范围内从事政府数字化的研究和教学工作，包括与中国多所大学（复旦大学、同济大学、人民大学、华中大学、中山大学、华中师范大学等）开展多项双边研究合作，并为欧盟委员会和联合国开展数字化创新研究工作
Rony Medaglia is a Professor with Special Responsibilities at the Copenhagen Business School, Department of Digitalization, in Denmark, and President of the Special Interest Group on E-Government of the Association for Information Systems (AIS). His research focuses on digitalization in the public sector, from the perspectives of digital service provision, citizen engagement, and sustainability. He has published in international journals such as Government Information Quarterly, the Journal of Information Technology, the Information Systems Journal, the International Journal of Information Management, and has co-edited the Research Handbook on Public Management and Artificial Intelligence, to be published soon by Edward Elgar.
He has conducted research and teaching on government digitalization in a global context, including numerous bi-lateral research collaborations with universities in China (Fudan, Tongji, Renmin, Huazhong, Sun Yat-Sen, Central China Normal), and has conducted research work on digital innovation for the European Commission and for the United Nations

This session will focus on an emerging area of research that is rapidly gaining prominence in the digital government agenda: the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the public sector. The initial part of the session aims to discuss the growing significance of AI in digital government research, underscoring the innovative nature of AI in the public sector.
Subsequently, the session will delve into current research trends surrounding AI in government. This exploration will encompass studies on the associated risks and benefits, ongoing policy initiatives, and the development of competency profiles for AI in public administration.
Finally, the session will present prospective avenues for research on AI in government. This will involve an examination of policy initiatives on AI in the public sector in Europe and across the world, and a discussion of how these are influencing the future research landscape on digital government.
